Long trips are the best.

But planning a multi-day motorbike trip is a pain in the ass. Plotting the route from A to B is easy, but how do you work out where each day should end? Leave that to us.

  1. Trace

Tell us where you’re starting and where you’re headed, and we’ll map the route. Or bring in your already well curated GPX or KML file.

  2. Split

Pick how long you want to be in the saddle each day, and we’ll split the route and make sure you end that day somewhere where it’s easy to stop for the night.

  3. Ride

Now you have one less thing to worry about. (You still need to organise accommodation, but at least you know which town to look in!)

Questions?

How does the multi-day planning work?

Trace the route or upload a GPX, then hit “Split it into days”. Tell us how many hours you fancy in the saddle and we’ll point out towns near where that day runs out. Pick one, sleep there, repeat until you’ve arrived.

How much does it cost?

It's completely free to use!

What do you mean "completely free to use", where's the catch?

There is none. We ride motorbikes and we love long distance multi day trips and built this tool for ourselves, and decided to share it with the community.

Can I ride different hours on different days?

Absolutely. Set the hours day by day as you go: a short one on a demanding day full of twisting curves, and a longer one when the road is straight and uneventful. You know the best how long you can ride for.

I already have my route from another app, can I still split it?

Yes. Upload a GPX or KML and it goes through the same day-splitting flow: riding hours in, overnight stops out. When you’re done, see the overview of the trip in Motoplanner, or take the whole thing back out as a GPX, stops included.

Does Motoplanner book overnight accommodation?

No. We tell you which town to sleep in; the bed is on you. Worth checking there’s actually a room before you commit to the plan.
